What are ions?
An ion is an electrically charged atom or molecule whose number of electrons does not equal the number of protons. This difference in charge gives the atom or molecule an electrical charge.

Health

Experts claim that at least 20% more negative than positive ions are needed to live healthily in the environment and living spaces. This gives HALLER infrared heaters with Thera technology a unique advantage, not only over conventional heaters, but also over all other infrared heaters.
The following test was carried out during a trial run in England. Measurements were taken with an air ion counter, "IC-1000-W", which can measure negative and positive ions of up to 20,000,000 ions/cc per cubic centimetre. The energised 170-watt Thera P8 model was used in the test.
In another test set-up with a 680-watt HALLER Thera P8, measurements showed that within a period of two hours, the positive ions in the air (allergens are mainly caused by pollen, smoke, odour, dust, mould and other particles in the air) were reduced from 2400/cc positive ions to 800/cc (66.66%). In the same time, the number of negative ions increased significantly, creating a much better air and environment.
Healthy breathing air

The air you breathe in a salt cave is many times cleaner than the air you breathe above ground. Cave therapy is based on the consistent avoidance of environmental pollutants in the air we breathe for a certain period of time. The number of negative ions, also called vitamins of the air, in caves is 5,000 - 10,000 per cm3.
